SUPPORTING GREATER REGULATION OF THE NERVOUS SYSTEM - CAPABLE OF CONTAINING DIFFICULT EXPERIENCES
I have advanced trauma counselling training in a psychobiological approach developed by Dr. Peter A. Levine and called Somatic Experiencing™ (or SE™). My post-advanced SE™ training includes the "Touch Skills Training for Trauma Therapists” by Kathy L. Kain. This post-advanced training allows me to incorporate touch (and SE™ table work) as a way to support stress regulation and trauma resolution.
I also have training in Integral Somatic Psychology developed by Dr. Raja Selvam (Senior SE International Faculty). This approach looks at the dysregulation of the body related to unbearable emotional experiences.
For several years, I am a senior assistant in Somatic Experiencing™ and have worked at various SE training events here in North America, Hong Kong and Australia. I am also an assistant at ISP trainings.
